The Teradata Analytics Universe Steering Committee represents the interest of and acts on behalf of Teradata Analytics Universe. The Teradata Analytics Universe Steering Committee and its Executive Committee are responsible for conducting the annual Teradata Analytics Universe event. The committee is comprised of both customer and Teradata representatives. Steering Committee members communicate via monthly conference calls, participate in various conference related work groups, and attend two face-to-face planning sessions per year.

VP of Product Management

Todd is Vice President of Product Management at Teradata overseeing business alignment, technical aspects of the product and services offering, product content and investment allocation. He also manages program realization, product deployment and global sales support. Previously, Todd was responsible for the overall development strategy of the Teradata R&D organization focused on emerging technologies and markets. Prior to R&D, he was a Partner in the Professional Services Group within Teradata Government Systems, managing the federal civilian practice focusing on the delivery and execution of Teradata solutions. He previously led the Platform and Systems Group within Teradata Product Management, where he was responsible for product strategy, product lifecycle management and business analysis for research and development. In the 1990s, Todd managed IT infrastructure projects in the telecommunication and energy sectors for EDS.
JOHN CARPENTER, TERADATA ANALYTICS UNIVERSE STEERING COMMITTEE PRESIDENT
VP, Enterprise Marketing Solutions
In this role, John has overall responsibility for the Marketing Database and Campaign/ Strategic Analytics platforms – including Data Development, Data Ownership and Development of application functionality. Previously, John held the position of Sr. Director Enterprise Marketing Management Development and prior to that several other positions within IT and Marketing including Sr. Manager of Subscriber Retention Analysis, Segmentation and Optimization. Prior to SiriusXM, John held positions within Marketing, IT and Project Management across Subscriber Businesses and Financial Firms – most recently as a Manager of Database Marketing at an Agency where he supported Verizon Wireless National Acquisition efforts – overseeing implementation of a new Marketing Database, Campaign Management Platform and Enterprise BI Reporting Solution.

CHRIS McMILLAN, VP TECHNOLOGY

Chris McMillan has spent 15 years in the IT industry, with 9 years specializing in custom application development consulting. In his current role as Senior Developer at Live! Casino & Hotel, Chris’s responsibilities include requirements, design/architecture, analysis, development, and support for custom apps as well as managing the casino’s Teradata warehouse and CIM.
Prior to his current role, he worked as a technical consultant for Teradata, implementing marketing solutions for large and midsize companies.
Chris was a presenter at Teradata 2016. He graduated from Texas A&M University and Lamar University, where he earned his Master’s in Computer Science.
DEANNA BLAIR, TREASURER
DeAnna is the Marketing Manager for Hallmark’s consumer databases that include Hallmark’s loyalty program data and e-commerce data. She manages all of Hallmark’s consumer data hygiene and data enrichment processes. DeAnna has more than fifteen years of experience working with Teradata CIM (Customer Interaction Manager), is the CIM Administrator and is Hallmark’s expert on the “retailerization” process. She is also the business lead for Marketing’s IT projects.
ANUJ PARIKH, TREASURER ELECT
Senior Director of Software, Data Science
Anuj Parikh is the Senior Director, Software, Data Science at Ticketmaster. In this role, Anuj is responsible for data integration into the Teradata data warehouse as well as big data ingestion. Anuj has over 18 years of experience in data warehousing and as the lead architect and engineer was instrumental in building the Citysearch and Ticketmaster data warehouse from the ground up. Anuj manages teams of data architects, ETL developers, and operations analysts. His team provides invaluable service to data scientists, email marketers, application developers, BI/Reporting and Analytics teams, in search of diverse sets of data.

Troy Crites is a Data Platform Architect at Monsanto responsible for defining the strategy and engineering guidelines for all major data store platforms. He has 20 years of experience in business intelligence, data warehousing, database design, and data integration across several industries including manufacturing, consumer product goods, healthcare, and telecommunications. He specializes in designing and implementing large scale data warehousing solutions and has extensive experience in data architecture, data modeling, database optimization, agile and lean delivery, and master data management.

Senior Enterprise Architect for Data Architecture, Governance, Warehousing, and Analytics
Mark is Senior Enterprise Architect for Data Architecture, Governance, Warehousing, and Analytics at FedEx Services. His contributions to the FedEx analytical ecosystem include the design and implementation of the original data acquisition methodology (still in use more than 20 years later), as well as the design and architecture of the next-generation analytical environment. Innovations include the invention of the Package Level Profitability at FedEx, and the Enterprise Data Duplication Identification Process for which he received a patent. He was Lead Architect for FedEx Delivery Manager and has worked extensively on the characterization and reduction of IT complexity.

Adrián Quilis is the Business Intelligence Senior Manager at Mercado Libre. In this role, he is responsible for the BI & Analytics strategy in the Latin America e-commerce leader. He has more than 18 years of experience in Business Intelligence and data warehousing across different companies.

- Over 19 years of professional experience in Teradata Enterprise Data Warehousing systems.
- Manage a team of database/system administrators implementing and supporting multiple large scale Teradata systems (Over 400 terabytes – EDW, ADW and development/test systems), hundreds of Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Over all database architecture. Ensure all proposed implementations/solutions adhere to our enterprise guidelines (Security, recoverability, supportability and performance SLAs).
- Previously responsible for various reporting systems (Business Objects, Hyperion and Microsoft), maintaining all the EDW/ADW ETL processes (over 130 individual EDW datasets) and Big Analytics (Teradata Aster and Hadoop systems).

Carlos Valencia is responsible for Data warehousing at McCain Foods, he has over 20 years of IT experience primarily in the manufactory and consumer package goods industries. Carlos is accountable for defining the Data Analytic Architecture for McCain, ensuring a roadmap that aligns with the overall company strategy. In his previous role, Carlos was the head of IT for McCain LATAM for five years.
Carlos is married with two young boys and lives in the french fry capital of the world, Florenceville, New Brunswick, Canada.

KATHY HASTINGS, CMP, CMM

Kathy Hastings is responsible for directing all strategy and logistics for Teradata Analytics Universe. She also owns the global implementation of SMMP at Teradata in addition to managing the sourcing and planning for meetings in the America’s at Teradata. Kathy has more than 30 years experience in the meetings and hospitality industry. Prior to joining Teradata in 2012, Kathy held multiple positions within Anheuser-Busch. Successfully opening Kingsmill Resort, managing conference services and corporate planning were among the many responsibilities during her 25 years of service at AB.

Niall O'Doherty leads a team of business consultants that are helping leading global companies to do more with their data and drive value through analytics. Niall has responsibility for entering and growing new industry, markets and customers for Think Big Analytics, A Division of Teradata, covering an area from Ireland to Japan and from Russia to Australia in industries as diverse as Retail, Banking, Oil & Gas, Automotive, High Tech, Utilities and Government. He is very focused on the value of detailed and complex data and especially the proliferation of “Big Data”, the “Internet of Things” and the associated analytics that are required. Before joining Teradata in early 2002 Niall worked for BearingPoint (KPMG Consulting), Johnson & Johnson and E&J Gallo Winery.
Niall holds a B.E.and an M.Sc.(Eng) from University College Dublin.
He is married with two young children and is a fully signed up supporter of Leinster Rugby.

Chris Twogood is Senior Vice President of Marketing for Teradata Corporation, responsible for overseeing Teradata teams that create and execute the planning, development and execution of all marketing initiatives, branding, product marketing, PR/Social/Influencer Relations, and marketing strategy. Prior to assuming this role, he was responsible for product and services marketing, which included the Teradata Database, Teradata Aster, Teradata Cloud, software and hardware platforms, Teradata Unified Data Architecture™ middleware, and tools and utilities.
Twogood has more than twenty-five years of experience in the computer industry, with specialized expertise in data warehousing, decision support, customer management, analytics, consulting services and appliance platforms.
Serving as a leading Teradata spokesperson, Chris is frequently interviewed by the media and appears at events across the world. He is highly conversant on topics in the field of big data analytics, applications and how cutting-edge companies are using Teradata products and services to advance their business performance.
Chris began his career with NCR in retail Point of Sale solutions (POS), and then moved to AT&T to manage channel development and strategic partners. He then joined Teradata where he managed strategy, application definition, marketing, product requirements/management, platform solutions, and product marketing.
Twogood holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University at Long Beach with an emphasis in Marketing. He resides in San Diego.
